Recently, I was given the Frozen: Storybook Deluxe App to review and we LOVE it! My daughter is head over heals in love with Frozen anything, so when I told her someone sent us the app, she could not WAIT to see what it was about. She loves to see new apps on my iPad, especially if they are for her.
We’ve spent a week playing with the app and her favorite part about it, is that in the story, there are movie clips. And if she rotates the iPad, the story is then told from the other sisters point of view. She mostly prefers Elsa, but she does flip to hear Anna sometimes. Since the movie is not out yet, she loves that she can watch parts of the movie in the story app.
There are a few games in the app also. You can do an ice puzzle where you match the puzzle pieces with the pieces on the side. The more ice you take off, the more of the picture you can see. The pieces are a little tricky sometimes, and she mostly tries to uncover where she thinks their faces will be first, but you have to go with one of the three on the side, not the ones you choose first. She likes me to help her and she assigns me my pieces, and she finds her pieces.
The other game is a coloring app and she LOVES this! She says she is creating her own ice castle, and that’s what she would love to do in real life. Her birthday is in June and she is convinced we can build an ice castle outside for her birthday. I keep telling her that’s not possible, so she is currently making a list, in order, of which friends are going to build an ice castle on the iPad while at the party.
I am always looking for new apps to entertain my daughter. Especially now that she comes along to many of my doctor appointments, and I was very glad to be able to try this one out. It holds her attention more than many of the free apps I find, so I say it’s well worth the $6.99!
Have you tried this app yet?
